Neighborhood Centers
Houston, Texas

More than 110 years ago, Alice Graham Baker, a prominent Houstonian, gathered a dozen women in her home to brainstorm creating a place where low-income families and immigrants could receive help in their community. The BakerRipley House's were born. Now referred to as Neighborhood Centers, with locations around Houston, they serve nearly 500,000 people. Existing site signage was replaced and updated with architectural monuments that reinforced their logo aesthetic and gave a consistent graphic theme to several of the locations throughout Houston.
